What is Swedish Massage?

In Sweden it is known as "classic massage", it is a classic western standard for massage. Swedish massage does not use extreme pressure and is aimed at improving circulation, soothing your muscles and helping you to relax.

How does it Work?

The five main techniques in this form of massage are stroking/gliding, kneading, rubbing, tapping, or vibration

What will my Session Involve?

Firstly you will need to inform your therapist of any medical conditions you may have, or if you are or could be pregnant. You will then undress and relax on the massage couch. You will be covered with a warm towel and at no point do you have to be totally exposed, as your therapist can uncover areas part by part. Various techniques of Swedish massage will be utilised. The massage is sensitive to pressure and care will be taken on tender areas of the body. Your therapist may feel that the use of an oil is necessary, however you can choose not to have this.

How Long is a Session

Each session lasts for 1 hour or ½ hour.
