Aromatherapy massage combined with hot stones
What is Aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is an ancient art of using essential oils. These oils are a concentrated liquid extracted from plants. They are used to treat the mind, body and some would say the soul also. The skin has an ability to absorb certain substances and in this way aromatherapy is similar to other complementary therapies for example flower remedies and herbal medicine. Combining these principles with the benefits of massage can bring about balance, healing and health in ones life.
What can it Treat?
As well as being an enjoyable, relaxing and pampering massage, it is also used to treat ailments including the following: - Anxiety and Stress - Asthma - Back ache - Digestive problems, IBS - Eczema - Headaches and Migraines - Insomnia - Low immune system
How does it Work?
It works by taking a holistic approach, meaning it treats the whole person by regulating, healing and maintaining the entire being with the use of nature. "The cure of the part should not be attempted without treatment of the whole, and also no attempt should be made to cure the body without the soul, and therefore if the head and body are to be well you must begin by curing the mind: that is the first thing... For this is the great error of our day in the treatment of the human body, that physicians separate the soul from the body." Plato Chronicles 156e
